Paul would be proud

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

It's been nearly a month since I began my journey toward obtaining my Masters of Ministry degree with Crown Seminary. I submitted my application, had my transcripts sent from Gibbs high, TIE, and Fountainhead College, and I had my pastor send his recommendation letter. I have been patiently biding my time waiting to hear if I was going to be accepted or not.

I came home from work tonight, sat down to supper and my wife said, "oh, you got a letter from Crown today." I nearly choked on my pork chop. "Really???? Where's it at???" I asked. My son brought the letter to me and I carefully cut the edge off of the envelope so not to mess up the letter inside. "Drumroll!" I loudly exclaimed to my family as they sat around the table awaiting my reaction. I opened the letter and the first thing I saw was "Congratulations!" "Wooo Hooo, I've been accepted!" I shouted. After a small celebration dance around the kitchen table, I put the letter away in a safe place and went back to eating my pork chop.

So now I'm just waiting to begin classes. Hopefully I'll be starting next week. I've been taking some free online Bible classes from BBN over the past few months. They are really great. If you are interested just go over to http://www.bbnbi.org/ and sign up!
