House Mountain Perfection

For years I have driven by this spot on Washington Pike and looked out my truck window at the most beautiful view of House Mountain. For years I have sworn that "one of these days I'm gonna stop and get out and take pictures from that spot." Well, today was that day. Mary and I were already out taking pictures and as we drove by that spot I said, "you know, we orta just turn around and pull into that field and take pictures." Much to my delight, she agreed. She was driving so she went to House Mountain Market, turned around and went back. I climbed out of the passenger side and walked into the field to shoot pictures. I am so proud of this shot that I took. There was a great shadow across a portion of the mountain and the clouds were absolutely spectacular. I wanted to just stand there in awe at the sight but somehow managed to snap off about 15 pictures. The one with this post is the one that I liked best. I think it's probably the best picture of the mountain that I have ever taken.
