We're going green
Back when I was in high school we had Spirit Week. One of the days of that week was designated as dress up day and we would have a best dressed contest. That was when you could dress yourself up as anything or anybody you wanted to. One of my favorite characters was the Hulk. So, that's what I went as. My parents got out the green food coloring and went to town on me. I was green from head to foot. Needless to say, I won the dress up contest that year. I wish I had a picture of it but I don't. It took me about 2-weeks to get all of that green coloring out of the pores of my skin. It is a time I will treasure my entire life.
Flash forward to 2008. My son, Matthew, and my daughter, Liz, are having dress up day at their school today. So, this morning I painted Matthew green with food coloring. He absolutely loved it! I didn't put as much on him as my parent's did me but it was enough to turn him very green. Liz went as Catwoman. She had a blast going around acting like a cat. She didn't need any food coloring on her. Mary made her cape from a piece of material and we found the cat mask at the Target in the $1.00 isle. Check em out below:
