First assignment complete!

Last week I received my first assignment from Crown Seminary. I had to listen to 214 minutes of a 6-part series of messages entitled, "Taking the High Road," by Pastor Clarence Sexton. My assignment was to type notes on the sermons and then mail them back to Crown. I loaded the sermons on my Mp3 player and listened to them all week long. I took notes as I listened and typed up a full page for each sermon.

I'll have to say that it was the best homework assignment I've ever had! I spend so many hours listening to sermons online anyway so it wasn't even like it was work. Plus the sermons were excellent. Pastor Sexton is a wonderful preacher. I listen to him whenever I get a chance when he is on the radio. I also download all of his sermons from http://www.sermonaudio.com/ and have lots of them on my Mp3 player.

I can already tell how this is going to benefit my ministry. I'm eager to start on my next assignment!
