I've Joined Team Philibuster

Hey Tug's Life reader! It's been a long time since I've posted. I'm just busier than a one armed paper hanger these days. Well, I wanted to post this and let you know that I have decided to join up with my friend Phil Leadbetter and his Team Philibuster for the Light the Night Walk this year. As you know, I have walked in the Light the Night Walk on different occasions and was the captain of "Team Chesney." We walked in memory of my sister Pam who passed away from Leukemia.

As I posted on my new Fundraising Page, this year I am walking for triple reasons.
1. I lost my big sister Pam to Leukemia. She was diagnosed with Leukemia in October of 2001. She went through many chemotherapy treatments and a bone marrow transplant. On December 16th, 2002, after battling this terrible disease for over a year, her body finally gave up and her life on this earth ended. She was only 39-years old.

2. I lost my grandfather, Preacher Ed Spencer to Lymphoma. Paw (as I called him) died in 1972 when I was only 6-years old. I loved him so much and I felt robbed when he left this walk of life at just 62-years of age.

3. My friend, fellow classmate, and someone I greatly admire, Phil Leadbetter, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2011. After enduring 15 months of chemotherapy and entering a stem cell program, he was totally healed from cancer! In his latest doctor's report in July 2013 he was declared 100% clear of any cell activity!

So, won't you join me and Team Philibuster to raise money and awareness for these terrible forms of cancer? I'd love to count you as part of the team. Just visit my fundraising page for more details: http://pages.lightthenight.org/tn/ETN13/BChesney#My-Fundraising-Page
